VP told the ABS-CBN Television, "I just want to inform you that our three compatriots have been executed,"
The Philippines government moved its foot forward in order to hault the said execution.
[The presidential spokesperson, Abigail Valte, said, "We have been informed that Ramon Credo, Sally Ordinario-Villanueva, and Elizabeth Batain were administered lethal injections to carry out the sentence imposed by the courts of the People’s Republic of China this morning."]
[Our government had taken every available opportunity to appeal to the authorities of China for clemency in their cases, to which the Chinese government responded with a postponement of the execution. In the end, however, the sentence was imposed."]

The DFA observed one-minute silence for the souls of the victims.
My Opinion
"This should be an eye-opener for our government. It's people are already facing a extreme poverty that led these the poor community, in wish of uplifting their lives, resorted to drug trafficking and other illegal works to foreign countries, not to mention the brain drain, the prostitution, the forms of crime happening inside our country. The government should stop feeding their self-interest and hunger while they are in the position. Stop corruption and do your duties. There are thousands of lives at stake in the our country. The execution is the calling of the Filipinos extreme poverty and bed-ridden situation."
"Those working outside the country must put in their mind the thought of they are working in a strange land. They must do things in accordance to the law of the land where they are working. It is a lesson for every Filipinos who aspire to work abroad and a warning to those who have plans in doing such and other forms of crime."

[I just couldn't understand why there's no such thing as an Executive Clemency in China when it is well practiced in the Philippines - this keeps some of their nationals (who allegedly did the same thing) living in our country alive.
We know that this kind of situation is present in any country as these traffickers do their best to gain support from innocent people who are in a pursuit of a better life. (financially speaking).
We can accept that the government did their best and placed their best foot forward to try and save the lives of these 3 filipinos but somehow, somewhere, this event will be an eye-opener to both possible preys and existing predators.
We couldn't do anything else but learn from what happened. Let us all pray for the souls of these 3 pinoys. I hope they were able to ask for forgiveness from God before this happened., Pao of yahoo]
