VP Binay confirms 3 Filipinos Execution in China

Vice Presiedent, Jejomar Binay, confirmed the execution of the three Filipinos, Ramon Credo, Sally Ordinario-Villanueva, and Elizabeth Batain, convicted of drug trafficking in China just this day.

VP told the ABS-CBN Television, "I just want to inform you that our three compatriots have been executed,"

The Philippines government moved its foot forward in order to hault the said execution.

[The presidential spokesperson, Abigail Valte, said, "We have been informed that Ramon Credo, Sally Ordinario-Villanueva, and Elizabeth Batain were administered lethal injections to carry out the sentence imposed by the courts of the People’s Republic of China this morning."]

[Our government had taken every available opportunity to appeal to the authorities of China for clemency in their cases, to which the Chinese government responded with a postponement of the execution. In the end, however, the sentence was imposed."]

["The nation sympathized with the families of the condemned, sharing their sense of looming loss. We sympathize with these families now. Their deaths are a vivid lesson in the tragic toll the drug trade takes on entire families," she added.]

["Those who traffic in illegal drugs respect no laws, no boundaries, and have no scruples about destroying lives. Our response must be relentless, with government and the citizenry working together to ensure vigilance and mutual support to prevent our countrymen from being used by drug pushers as sacrificial pawns, whether at home or abroad," the spokesperson added.]

The DFA observed one-minute silence for the souls of the victims.

My Opinion

"This should be an eye-opener for our government. It's people are already facing a extreme poverty that led these the poor community, in wish of uplifting their lives, resorted to drug trafficking and other illegal works to foreign countries, not to mention the brain drain, the prostitution, the forms of crime happening inside our country. The government should stop feeding their self-interest and hunger while they are in the position. Stop corruption and do your duties. There are thousands of lives at stake in the our country. The execution is the calling of the Filipinos extreme poverty and bed-ridden situation."

"Those working outside the country must put in their mind the thought of they are working in a strange land. They must do things in accordance to the law of the land where they are working. It is a lesson for every Filipinos who aspire to work abroad and a warning to those who have plans in doing such and other forms of crime."

"The Philippines must also impose such retribution to the convicted drug mule and other illegal works in our country. This is not in any interest but in the interest of minimizing the ballooning crime happening in our country. If this will happen, i do believe that in all countries, the Philippines will have the highest rate in execution criminals."

"My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of the victims. God bless your soul and rest in peace. Still, MABUHAY ANG PILIPINO"

Filipinos reaction towards the execution:

[all chinese druglords in the philippines who are living like kings in their so called "jail" should be executed...so fuckin' unfair. quesopilipinas41 of youtube]

[It's about time for us to do the same impartial implementation of the system. If China Republic had given death sentence to their unconstituents, we must do the same. Let's not make any foreigner in our country a hero, nor a star. Let's give them adamn bullshit . Lesson learned, MAS MAHALIN NATIN AT MAS HANGAAN ANG ATING MGA KABABAYAN DITO SA ATING BANSA, coz in other countries, we Filipinos are treated TRAPO, EVA of yahoo]

[I just couldn't understand why there's no such thing as an Executive Clemency in China when it is well practiced in the Philippines - this keeps some of their nationals (who allegedly did the same thing) living in our country alive.
We know that this kind of situation is present in any country as these traffickers do their best to gain support from innocent people who are in a pursuit of a better life. (financially speaking).
We can accept that the government did their best and placed their best foot forward to try and save the lives of these 3 filipinos but somehow, somewhere, this event will be an eye-opener to both possible preys and existing predators.
We couldn't do anything else but learn from what happened. Let us all pray for the souls of these 3 pinoys. I hope they were able to ask for forgiveness from God before this happened., Pao of yahoo]

[All has been said. I agree with Mr. Gani Oro of GMA, huwag na po tayo magsisihan. Only God can give judgement... Our condolences to the families and May God give you the full strength , to move on with your lives. Maria of yahoo]

St. Anne Parish of Molo, Iloilo City

Wondering what are you gonna do when you visit Iloilo City, Philippines?

Well, visit our churches then! One of the churches that we hold our head up high is the Saint Anne’s Parish.

The Front View of St. Anne's Church in Molo Plaza

Saint Anne’s Parish which is located in Molo, Iloilo City is considered to be one of the most beautiful churches in the Philippines.

Molo Church is widely-known for its Gothic-Renaissance-inspired architecture, making it one of the Gothic churches outside Manila. Its Gothic characteristics are seen on its two red towers, its altar and the pulpit and its Renaissance characteristics are seen with its dome and other interior designs.

[The church was constructed in 1831 under the supervision of Fray Pablo Montano. White corral rocks were used for the construction. The two belfries houses 30 different sizes of bells from small bells to the big Campaniles. Two painters who were commissioned to paint the murals of the church interiors were Mariano Mabunay and Jesue Huervas. The two murals inside the church depicts the Crucifiction and Resurrection of Christ.]

It is also popular as a feminist church because of the 16 statues of the female saints inside.. Each row is composed of 8 female saint’s statues. The saints are Sta. Marcela, Apolonia, Genoveva, Isabel, Felicia, Ines, Monica, Magdalena, Juliana, Lucia, Rosa de Lima, Teresa, Clara, Cecilia, Margarita and Marta. The main altar house is the statue of Sta. Ana and her child the blessed Mary. Above them perched the statues of the Holy Trinity.

Throughout the tests of time, Sta Ana church withstood and still steadfast despite of the catastrophe. Numerous earthquakes endeavor to break it down, yet failed. It is even used as an evacuation center for the Ilonggos when calamity strikes.

See for yourself and be amazed!

A Night in Guisi, Guimaras

Guimaras (Aka. Guim) is a one striking island near the coast of Iloilo City. Famous for its serene beaches, tourist spots, religious land marks, and of course, who would forget? its Mango? Which is believed to be the sweetest mango on earth.

A 15-minutes ride from Ortiz port of Iloilo to Jordan port of Guimaras would not feel any pain in your nerve at all, because while you were on board, for sure, you'll enjoy the beauty of ocean's waves and the soothing wind that slowly caresses your body.

One of the beaches that sure as hell you'll enjoy will be the Guisi Beach. Wonder why? not like the other beaches that you have wherein there are number of people and for some, are sword to their eyes, the place will be yours, yes, YOURS. because here in Guisi you will enjoy the boundlessness of freedom and of privacy for they (Guisi Management) accommodate and schedule visitors.

Guisi, indeed, has more to offer, from a very accommodating attendant to your comfort. The beach has white sands and coral reefs are seen that shows that the beach is as clear as crystal.

Here are some pictures that i took, enjoy!
